    John Douglas

    Beara West & Online

I have been instructing on courses and workshops at Dzogchen Beara since the late 1990s and am now one of the main presenters there on a range of courses and workshops including Self Compassion, Bereavement, Healing Relationships and professionally accredited workshops on Contemplative Listening and Contemplative End of Life Care.

In 2010 I went back to third level to do a degree in integrative psychotherapy. I have been working in private practice as a therapist in Beara since 2017.

I had my own journey with life threatening illness through 2011-2013 and this experience led me to working with ARC Cancer Support House in Cork and then later in Bantry when the house opened there as a counsellor. I still work regularly with ARC clients.
